“Learning to aggress – Neural mechanisms of aggression reward”
Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Structure
Dr. Golden is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Structure, with a co-appointment in the Center for Neurobiology of Addiction, Pain and Emotion (NAPE). His lab’s research focusses on identifying the neural mechanisms controlling motivated behavior, with a special emphasis on the neural circuits underlying affiliative and aggressive social motivation and reward. His lab is further interested in the neural mechanisms controlling the transition to maladaptive social behavior in neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression, substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder.
