DESCRIPTION:The School of Medicine Training Grant Peer Group provides an accessible community that applies their collective experiences\, knowledge\, and resources through training\, moderated forums\, and problem-solving. The peer group focuses on the T32 NRSA training grant mechanisms from the NIH (see NIH GPS 11.3). SUMMARY:Women Faculty Leadership Series #2: Building Effective Teams
DESCRIPTION:Overview \nThe UW SoM Women in Medicine and Science (WIMS) Committee hosts 6 annual workshops on Women Faculty Leadership as well as Reproductive Healthcare & Family Support. These workshops aim to create a community for women faculty throughout the SoM\, build leadership skills\, and provide a space for women faculty explore topics that impact their careers in academic medicine. Additionally\, the WIMS committee hosts an annual Women Faculty Day. This is an all-day event\, the theme changes each year but every Women Faculty Day features a keynote speaker\, networking opportunities\, and talks specific to women faculty in academic medicine. \nAccreditation \nAccreditation with Commendation: The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. \nCredit Designation: The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
