SUMMARY:Diversity in Clinical Trials Initiative Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:Registration for the May 27 (1:00-2:30 p.m. Pacific Time) virtual Town Hall regarding the UW’s Diversity in Clinical Trials Initiative (DCTI) is now open. This is the fourth webinar related to the DCTI\, UW’s plan to comply with a Washington State law (RCW 69.78) which aims to improve participation in clinical trials from underrepresented communities. \nPrevious webinars related to the DCTI policy\, translation and interpreter services and community engagement\, and eConsent are available online. \nThis webinar offers Human Subjects Division updates and resources available to support research teams comply with the policy\, which went into effect January 1\, 2026. The Town Hall will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A session\, and attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance when registering. A recording of the webinar will be available on the DCTI website. \nRegister here!

DESCRIPTION:The Rigor\, Reproducibility\, and Transparency (RRT) Seminar Series is a series in collaboration with the Fred Hutch Cancer Center presented by faculty from each of the several ongoing training grants at Fred Hutch and UW. Presenters include faculty from training grants at the Fred Hutch and the UW. The series is in response to NIH-mandated RRT training for trainees on training grants\, F awards\, and K awards. DESCRIPTION:This is a group facilitated in partnership with Ingersoll Gender Center for UW students (undergraduate\, graduate\, and professional) who identify as trans (including\, but not limited to\, binary trans identities\, non-binary trans identities\, culturally specific gender identities\, demi-gender identities\, genderfluid and genderqueer identities\, etc.) as well as those who are at any point in their journey of gender self discovery. This loving and supportive space emphasizes community and connection as we process anything and everything gender related. Ask questions\, find support\, and grow. \nThis event is hosted by the Q Center. The Q Center has proudly served LGBTQ+ and allied students\, staff\, and faculty for almost 20 years. They foster a brave\, affirming\, and inclusive community where everyone’s gender and sexual identities are celebrated. Guided by values of justice\, respect\, and liberation\, The Q Center is a space where all individuals can find connection\, healing\, and the freedom to be their authentic selves.
