Future Faculty Fellows Workshop

The goal of this workshop is to prepare post docs to apply for academic positions in biosciences by providing resources to understand and prepare job applications, gain teaching and mentoring experience, and build communication and job-seeking skills.

This four-week series includes a one-day, in-person event on career development followed by three online sessions. The workshop will feature search committee members and faculty members both within and outside traditional university research settings.

Historically, this workshop on career development has been linked with the Science Teaching Experience Program – Working In Science Education (STEP-WISE), which is a closely mentored apprenticeship experience to learn how to teach scientifically with inclusive, demonstrably effective, student-centered pedagogies.

Postdocs have the option of attending only the Future Faculty Fellows Workshop or both the workshop and STEP-WISE. Registration for STEP-WISE opens in the summer.

Registration for 2024 Future Faculty Fellows Workshop is now closed.
