UW Office of Research Bridge Funding Program Deadline

The UW Office of Research Bridge Funding program has recently announced their call for applications. The program provides funding to support faculty to span a temporary funding gap in critical research programs. The School of Medicine (SOM) Office of Research and Graduate Education (RGE) receives and processes proposals from SOM departments. RGE submits all the applications received by the deadline with rankings to the Office of Research (OR).
Bridge Funding Program Information
- Internal SOM Deadline for chairs: 8:00am, Monday, October 21, 2024
- Maximum of $50,000 may be applied for through the Provost. In SOM, requests must be matched 1:1 by the applicant’s department.

- SOM Department Chair (or Vice Chair for Research) to submit applications via email to rgeadmin@uw.edu
Overall Application Process
Applicants send their proposals to their Department Chair (or Vice Chair for Research). The chair prioritizes requests, and confirms matching commitment via attached letter before forwarding to the Vice Dean’s office. The Vice Dean ranks applications across the school and submits to the Office of Research.
