Floria Nyandaya headshot

Floria Nyandaya is a doctoral student in the Global Health Metrics program in the Department of Health Metrics Sciences. Originally from Kenya, Floria earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Washington. Her research work and interests are cross-cutting, ranging from clinical to population health research in cancer epidemiology and economic evaluations, women’s cardiovascular health and risk evaluations, and clinical AI applications to improve patient-centered care and outcomes.

Outside of her program, Floria enjoys being in nature and trying out new adventures through hiking, mountaineering in the tropics, cycling, kayaking and traveling.
