Kacy Liang is a PhD student in the Bioengineering program. Originally from Philadelphia, she graduated with a BS in Materials Science & Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
At UW, she is in the Stayton lab where her research focuses on synthesizing polymeric prodrugs for an implantable dual-delivery device for HIV PrEP and contraception. Her broader research interests include drug delivery, biomaterials, and immunotherapy. Outside the lab, she enjoys climbing, pottery, hiking, baking, and hanging out with her blind cat.
